Interior and Exterior Painting Services in Woodcliff Lake NJ
According to the 2010 US Census, Woodcliff Lake had a population of 5730. This was a decline from the 2000 Census, which recorded a population of 5745.
The borough has laws that dictate the size of land that families should have at the minimum. In most parts of the district, a single-family home should be built on a minimum of 22500 square feet. In the east, the borough allows for 15000 square feet, and in the southwest and northwest, not less than 30,000 square feet.
Woodcliff Lake shares its name with the reservoir that largely sits on it (some portion of the borough lies in Hillsdale).
The borough was incorporated in August of 1894 as Woodcliff. It was one of the 26 boroughs that were incorporated during the Boroughitis phenomenon. It was made from parts of Washington Township and Orvil Township.
When the reservoir was created in 1910, the borough’s name was changed to Woodcliff Lake to match the post office’s name. Before ZIP codes were introduced as a means of identifying addresses, the US Postal Service had a rule against two post offices in a single state having the same name. And since there already was a Woodcliff post office in Hudson County, Woodcliff borough’s name was changed.
In 1956 and 1958, Woodcliff Lake exchanged portions with Park Ridge and Hillsdale. Overall, Woodcliff Lake has lots of historical buildings and houses. Some of these date back to the 18th century. And while there are still many old buildings, most of them have undergone massive renovations and repairs.
Painting Projects
If your home was built before 1978, it is imperative that you hire a professional painting company to handle the project for you. Why is that? Well, the State of New Jersey has a set of rules that govern the handling of lead-based paints. And since many houses built before 1978 were painted with lead-based paint, only a professional should handle the painting project.
These rules and regulations were set up following an ordeal that left many kids in New Jersey mentally impaired. But aside from safety, hiring a professional ensures that the results of your project come out stunning and durable. Additionally, it ensures that you don’t spend a fortune on an otherwise cheap and affordable painting project.
